Don’t Show Nokia CEO Stephen Elop An iPhone, He’s Likely To Throw It (Video)

Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop appeared on a television show in Finland where he thought he was going to discuss his company's new low-cost Lumia smartphones. Things didn't go the way the Nokia CEO thought they were going to. During the interview the presenter begins to care less about the low-cost Lumia's and is more interested in the unannounced high-end, all alumiunum Nokia Lumia 928.

The presenter tells Stephen Elop that he saw a picture in a newspaper about the Lumia 928 and asks, "what kind of phone is that?"

"I don't know," Elop responded, laughing, "because we haven't announced a Lumia 928."

The Nokia Lumia 928 is rumored to be Nokia's latest attempt in trying to gain back some of the market share it has lost to Apple and Samsung. The Lumia 928 is believed to feature a unibody aluminum design for a premium feel compared to the polycarbonate case the company has been using for years. Verizon is expected to launch the smartphone in April.

Later in the clip, the presenter shows Stephen Elop that he has an iPhone but doesn't want an iPhone because he believes in Stephen Elop, and Nokia, and wants the Lumia 928. The Nokia CEO tells the presenter, "I can take care of that for you right here, there you go, it's gone." and proceeds to throw away the presenter's iPhone. The host keeps asking when he can get the Nokia lumia 928. Elop tells the presenter that he can't speak about that.

Seems a bit staged that the presenter decided during the show to get rid of his iPhone, but he made it clear to Nokia that he wants a Nokia phone that feels like an iPhone. Nokia also feels like that apparently.
