Is Game Freak trying to save face with the new Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission 2? It has encouraged all players of the game to join the first hunt for Pokemon last November. But it appears that the first goal of 100 million monsters is too much to achieve. Gamers were only able to get 16.5 million, a fraction of the goal.
The Objective Of Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission 2 Is Achievable
Now, the game developer has significantly slashed down the goal of the second global mission 2 to only a mere 1 million creatures. Will the players of Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission 2 have an easier time of doing it? The objective for each player now is to just locate 1 million Pokemon. That is clearly an easier thing to do. But wait, there's a catch.
It May Look Easy, But....
This current mission may look easy at first look. But actually, in Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission 2, each player has to get Pokemon by using the Island Scan. But a player can only access the Island Scan feature of the game if he has accumulated 100 points in QR codes. He is also required to find 10 separate QR codes per day.
As soon as he unlocks the scan feature of Pokemon Sun and Moon, the player can now find Pokemon from Hoenn, Johto, Kanto and the other regions of the previous sequels. To be able to contribute his part in achieving the current goal, he must defeat or capture as many Pokemon as he can.
The Current Status Is Not Very Encouraging
To date, there are only around 20,000 Pokemon captured or defeated by players who used the Island Scan. Does it mean that the goal of 1 million creatures is still too high for players all over the globe to achieve? Or are many of them not really participating at all due to the dismal results of the first global event? The deadline of Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission 2 is on Jan. 9, 2017. There is still a few more days left for players to get this number.
