The NieR: Automata demo revealed more than the characters and gameplay. It also hinted about the possible quests, weapons and much more.
Cypress Stick And Engine Blade
The NieR: Automata video demo showed that the characters are using weapons that look like a Cypress Stick. This weapon is not new since it appeared in another Square Enix game, Dragon Quest. Another weapon hinted in the demo comes straight out of Final Fantasy XV. It seems Prince Noctis is willing to lend his legendary Engine Blade for this game. In the FF series, this weapon gives its user the ability to evade attacks via warping.
Plug-in Chips Customization
NieR: Automata players can customize their characters using Plug-in Chips. Basically, players can get these upgrade items from various locations or simply buy them from NPC sellers. The video demo also showed how to use the chips.
Singers And Merchandise
The livestream presentation of Nier: Automata was presided by the game's producer Yosuke Saito, director Taro Yoke as well as Takahisa Taura who designed the game. Also included in panel is Keiko Isobe, the voice actress for Operator 60. Japanese rock band Amazarashi has also released a theme song for the JRPG called "Inochi ni Fusawashii" or "Good For Life" in English. Game fans could also avail of the various merchandises available right now. This includes food such as cookies, mini tables and pillows as well as phone cases, according to Siliconera.
