The Nintendo Switch is fast becoming one of the most anticipated devices for 2017. What makes its release even more exciting is the games that have either been confirmed or rumored to be supported by the hybrid gaming console.
Unreal Engine 4
Game Rant noted that Unreal Engine 4 is one of the many game engines supported by the Switch. Unreal Engine 4 is made by Epic Games, one of Nintendo's third-party developers.
The territory manager of Epic Games in Japan, Takayuki Kawasaki, mentioned during a talk with Social VR that the company is currently in the process of creating games for the Switch. Among the game, titles are major releases that have already been announced and some new ones. Kawasaki also stressed that he is expecting that the Switch will give some life back to the game industry in Japan.
While Kawasaki did not enumerate the games that they are developing, at least two games have already been confirmed for the Switch. "Dragon Quest XI", the eleventh installment of the game franchise, and "Seasons of Heaven", a game based on the novel of the same name and created by an indie developer called AnyArts Productions. "Seasons of Heaven" is the only confirmed title to be made exclusively for the Switch.
Games: GameCube
According to rumors, the Switch already has support for GameCube games. In fact, at least three games have been tested. They are "Luigi's Mansion", "Super Mario Bros. Melee" and "Super Mario Sunshine". GameCube is also said to be working on getting support for "Animal Crossing".
