Niantic, Inc. has released it Pokemon GO Gen 2 update apparently to halt the toboggan slide of the game. The update was meant to add approximately 100 new Pokemon to the game and to resuscitate the waning interest of players. But the only monster released by the developer was Baby Pokemon on Dec. 12. It is rumored that the game developer will release the rest of the creatures in the following months.
Single-Use Incubators Will No Longer Be Available
Incidentally, the Pokemon GO holiday event is now coming to an end. That means the single-use incubator that are supplied at Pokestops will no longer be available. Players will no longer be able to hatch eggs at a fast rate. And with the issues involving the Gen 2 update surfacing lately, players may not be able to enjoy the game as much as they want to.
Pokemon GO Gen 2 Update Eggs Are Not Hatching
Apparently, players of Pokemon GO eventually found out that the Gen 2 update is not really a good update after all. They say that the evolved creatures from the Baby Pokemon are not hatching. In order to lay down the facts, Silph Road, a Pokemon GO community site, decided to look into the matter.
The community site wanted to see the hatch rate of the eggs of the Pokemon GO Gen 2 update. They started to collect eggs from Dec. 12 and examine their hatch rates. The results of their investigation dumbfounded the researchers. Out of the 1,621 eggs that they have collected, not one single researcher was able to hatch an evolved form of the Baby Pokemon. In addition, not one researcher was able to hatch a Regional Pokemon in the duration of the study.
Legendary Pokemon Will Come Next In Spring Or Summer
In a related development, there are reports that a Legendary Pokemon will be released in a few more months. The game developer is delaying its release knowing that it is in spring or summer that players are more likely to explore their environment. Niantic has not yet announced the exact date the upcoming Legendary will be launched.
