Before Mass Effect Andromeda becomes a reality, the franchise has already made history. And it's true -- the series quickly garnered a huge following in the industry. The new installment still has a couple of months (March 21 being the release date) left and yet, there's only little players know about it. But hey, there's every reason to be excited about it still. Speaking of which, these are the facts that'll back such claim.
A Whole New World Is Coming
Nope, it's not a song okay -- it's a new setting coming to Mass Effect Andromeda. Well, actually, the name of the title speaks for itself. It'll feature the Andromeda galaxy (obviously). If the previous titles were all about players landing and driving around on strange places, the forthcoming game promises a bigger scope. One is that it hopes to give players a much bigger galaxy to explore and discover. Second is that in each planet, the extent of uniqueness in terms of scenery is so diverse. It's safe to say that the game is going to really veer away from its predecessors in terms of size.
The Combat System
Of course, this is what every fan should simply look forward to Mass Effect Andromeda. It holds true that in the history of the franchise, the combat system hasn't been entirely significant. Not that it's bad -- it's just simply nothing of specialness when compared to the most popular first-person shooter games of today. Fortunately, the upcoming game is looking to take a few notch higher on this element. Players will be introduced to a much faster pace while not having to rely much on cover or whatnot. These changes are best described on the videos released by EA.
It Has A Standalone Story
Let me repeat that: Mass Effect Andromeda has a standalone story. Remember that in the past three games, the entirety of the Mass Effect lore was told. But now, in the new title, it's going to take a different route. A standalone storyline can be expected, one that is totally different from what most fans know about the series. This one here is already a winner. It basically gives the fandom something fresh, one that'll give them a new perspective to enjoy. Of course, there will still be elements from the previous titles being carried over; however, these don't necessarily affect the new game's story as a whole. Instead, they'll compliment the bigger picture.
A Larger Galaxy Awaits
Much like the three games in the franchise, Mass Effect Andromeda will also give a nod to this element. The game will still take players on a journey of being a stranger to a vast setting. But with a promise of a larger galaxy (compared to the ones in the series), players can expect all sorts of new puzzles and challenges. Well, these are possible because the studio has given the game a wider scope. There will certainly be a lot of interesting stuff to look forward to.
