Days following the departure of Abed Azel "Abed" Yusop from Team Execration, the rising Southeast Asian superstar has now officially signed under a new banner - one that has just recently been formed by veteran American Dota 2 player, Jimmy "DeMoN" Ho. Here's what we know so far.

Team Onyx is consists of three American veteran players, DeMoN, BuLba and Mason, the former carry of EG. The remaining two are the notable players from SEA namely DuBu, from MVP Phoenix and their recently signed Filipino mid laner, Abed, famously known for his Meepo and Invoker plays. Here's the entire roster of Team Onyx:

The new team saw the return of the former EG carry, mason after a long inactivity following his removal from the said organization. This story isn't new, as far as Team Onyx go, as another one of its member also undergone the same process. BuLba was recently removed from Team Liquid as the organization intended to replace the veteran player over the rising 9k support player, GH.God.

Meanwhile, two SEA teams had undergone a reshuffle after the departure of its selected members, Abed from Execration and DuBu from MVP Phoenix. The latter was announced to take part on the team during its announcement but Abed was just signed today, days after his departure from Execration.

The inclusion of Abed in one of the teams for the upcoming Kiev major didn't come as a surprise but what's fascinating is the fact that he left a well-established team, Execration and ventured out in an entirely new environment with brand new players. It's interesting to see how this new team will make an impact for the upcoming Kiev Major which is the first Dota 2 Major to be held in the CIS region.
