Square Enix has just built a memorial clock donned in a colorful stained glass to commemorate one of its beloved popular video game series. The “Kingdom Hearts” franchise is turning 15 soon and Square Enix has thought up of various events to celebrate the said event. Aside from that, they are also gearing up to release its upcoming “Kingdom Hearts” video game.
Square Enix has just put up tons and various promotions for “Kingdom Hearts” in Tokyo, Japan to commemorate the said video game series reaching 15 years, which will be up until Jan. 15 only. The display of characters can be seen in a colorful exhibit cloaking the Metro Promenade walk of the Shinjuku Station in Tokyo. Aside from the exhibition of the major characters in the video game series especially those from the “Final Fantasy” series, the developer has placed a special memorial stained glass clock for “Kingdom Hearts” and a long display of various artworks from the games.
The memorial stained glass clock featured the main character, Sora with it being coupled with a caption that says “Kingdom Hearts 15 Anniversary, ‘The Story’ starts to move again.” With regards to the stained glass clock, there are actually thirteen variations featuring other characters from the game including Aqua, Riku, and the Disney characters Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Duck. Square Enix has actually set up a special Twitter contest event to give away all the “Kingdom Hearts”-designed clock dials to 13 lucky winners.
Square Enix has also placed a special timer along with the aforementioned exhibition that counts down to the release date of the upcoming “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue”, which will be on Jan. 12. It will only be available on PlayStation 4 and worldwide release will follow on Jan. 24. “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue” is a remastered collection of the “Kingdom Hearts” series and it officially followed the installment of “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix”.
“Kingdom Hearts” is a role action playing video game that was developed and first released by Square Enix in March 2002. It has already spawned several sequels, with the latest one titled “Kingdom Hearts 3” still in development. The said latest chapter will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
