The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse has made its debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show and it looks like it improved big time. Aside from offering more space than ever, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse also promises a new powertrain. With all these upgrades, it looks like buyers are in for one big treat.
2018 Chevrolet Traverse: Bigger Cabin
According to a report from Digital Trends, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse's cabin has been upgraded to provide more space. It was stated that the new model now offers 23 cubic feet of cargo space while providing comfortable seats for eight people. In addition, 58.1 cubic feet of space becomes available when the third-row seats are folded. This becomes even bigger and reaches up to 98.5 cubic feet upon folding all the back seats. Accordingly, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is also the best in the segment in the aspect of leg room for in the third row.
2018 Chevrolet Traverse: Power And Fuel Efficiency
The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse has also gained more power. CNET reported that the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is now equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that can deliver 305 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission. Accordingly, the RS model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that can crank out 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
The same report stated that this will also have a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The front wheel drive (FWD) configuration for the V6 and the RS model has a fuel efficiency rating of 18/25 and 20/23 miles per gallon in the city and on the highway respectively as reported.
2018 Chevrolet Traverse: Price And Availability
The details regarding the price for the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse are still kept under wraps at present. However, it is expected that the price should not vary much from the previous model that has a price tag of $29,000. The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse will be launched this fall as reported.
