The Gears of War 4 update is already live bringing with it a whole lot of new content. Two of these significant updates are new maps and a bunch of new skins.
Gears of War 4 has brought two of the game's favorite maps - Clocktower and Blood Drive. Clocktower is a re-imagined map featuring the Bank of Bronn which is now controlled by the Swarm. Engaging in a battle in this location transports fans to a time and place they've come to know and love in the Gears of War saga.
Blood Drive, on the other hand, brings back memories of Gears of War 2 and 3 but more refined and much better. Battle with your enemies at the Diner or the Morgue then head towards the street of Longshot and Overkill.
At the moment, these maps are only available to Season Pass holders which can be found in the Developer's Playlist. Gears of War 4 also added 20 percent more credits and double XP to those who have a Season Pass. Those who don't have a Season Pass will be able to enjoy the maps starting Jan. 17.
Microsoft has a lot of things going for Season Pass holders because they are also rewarding them with a Season Pass Airdrop which 20 Gear Packs loaded with various goodies. Aside from the two maps, Gears of War 4 also brings a whole lot of new skins for the playable characters as well as the animated and static weapons sets. Some of the character skins include Armored Anya, V-Day Sam, Zombie Minh, and Gear Corpse.
As for the weapons, players will be able to collect at least 260 kinds of Weapon Skins for all 13 types of weapon skin sets. You can either get a lightning skin or get cool with a chillin weapon set.
