RAM Rebel Makes 2017 Detroit Auto Show Appearance In Black Edition

The RAM Rebel was one of the most anticipated debutants at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. What fans and enthusiasts did not expect however, is that they were in for a treat. The RAM Rebel did not just make an ordinary appearance as it made its debut in a black edition.

RAM Rebel Black: The Dark Side

According to report from CNET, the RAM Rebel Black is a special edition that shows a flashier looks compared to the original version. As the name suggests, the Ram Rebel Black Edition basically covers the pickup in black from the wheels to the brush guard. Accordingly, this is not limited to the exterior as the interior has black center console, gauge cluster, instrument panel and pretty much everything else is black.

RAM Rebel Black: Power Behind The Shadow

Digital Trends reported that the RAM Rebel Black does not offer any modifications in the aspect of performance. The RAM Rebel Black is still equipped with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that can deliver 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Accordingly, an option for a more powerful engine is also available in the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that can crank out 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. These powertrains are paired with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power through a standard rear wheel drive (RWD) setting and an optional all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration.

RAM Rebel Black: Price And Availability

Reports state that the RAM Rebel Black has a base price of $45,950 without the $1,320 destination fee. Accordingly, the RAM Rebel Black will be launched across the U.S in March. Regarding the Black Edition, there are no details as to how many units will be available. Reports state that a spokesperson from RAM said that details about the matter are not yet ready to be revealed.
