As of this writing, the Nintendo Switch presentation is a few hours away. By the time some may get to read this, a lot more may be known about the hybrid console than just being an awesome-looking piece of work.
Hopefully, the many questions that surfaced upon the announcement of the Switch would be answered.
Will there be enough for everyone?
After the NES Classic Edition fiasco, fans and tech watchers alike are eager to know if there will be enough Switch consoles to go around.
One rumor is already circulating that only a maximum of 30 units will be available in each GameStop store in the United States. It is not clear if this figure is for physical stores only or will include those sold online. Whatever the case, 30 units is certainly not enough.
What can be done with the power issues?
The Switch will only have one teraflop which is incredibly low when compared to current consoles such as the PlayStation 4 Pro which has 4.2 teraflops of power. Old consoles like the PS4 (1.8) and Xbox One (1.3) have more teraflops than the soon-to-be-released Switch.
Why Nintendo made the Switch that way is no longer the question. What fans would want to know is if there's a way to solve its power issues.
Will the games be limited?
Another problem which crowded the NES Classic Edition is the lack of games. The console only had 30 games in its library and there was supposed to be no way to add more but hackers found ways to bump the number to almost 90 titles.
Now the question for the Switch is if it will have enough games to keep its owners happy. A number of games have already been confirmed while some have been rumored since the teaser trailer was launched. The answer may lie in the live Treehouse event which will follow the big reveal in a matter of hours.
Will it give me some space?
Players may want to ask the significant others to give them some space so they could play with their Switch. But when it comes to internal memory, the Switch has little to give. The console only has 32GB of internal storage according to rumors. It also allows only 128GB in expandable memory. Simply put, it is not enough.
