Mass Effect: Andromeda offers exciting new stuffs for the fans as it has now added a new feature that encourages melee hand-to-hand combat. If you wanted to explore and enjoy Andromeda from a different perspective then crafting your favorite melee weapons in the game would complete change your experience on the fights. Here's everything we know so far.
Mass Effect Andromeda: Crafting Melee Weapons
Melee weapons in Mass Effect aren't new but not hot either since there had been no dedicated builds, items and features that encourage the use of melee combat - until Andromeda. In a Twitter post, Ian S. Frazier, the lead designer of Mass Effect: Andromeda provided a glimpse of what's to come in the highly anticipated third-person shooter:
In Andromeda, fans will expect full support on melee combat especially as the developers are introducing a dedicated melee weapon slot on which players can then equipped their crafted gears for a crazy hack-and-slash engagement. If you're bored of using high-end guns then you may want to slash them using your futuristic lightsabers or axe - depending on your preference.
The new combat system might be exciting but we personally think that it wouldn't replace the big bad guns; ME after all, is a shooter game. But nonetheless, it's definitely enthralling seeing how the developers are introducing new ways to entice its fans and this would somehow create a new approach to play the game. Who wouldn't want to down a boss using your melee?
Inspiration
The developers have taken the inspiration from their previous title, Dragon Age: Inquisition in which players craft their weapons and equipment. However, when asked about the similarities between the two systems, Frazier said: "Andromeda's system is quite a bit different." Well, it's probably because we're on space and nowhere near dragons in which we can skin to collect some reagents. Are you excited for the upcoming melee combat system?
