The unlocked 32GB HTC One is now available for pre-order from HTC.
Pre-orders for the HTC One already became available for Sprint and AT&T. Those uninterested in a two-year agreement, however, have been looking elsewhere. There comes the T-Mobile option, which costs only $99 off-contract with monthly installments. However, T-Mobile hasn't offered the handset for pre-order.
Now, however, HTC is offering an unlocked 32GB HTC One for pre-order. The HTC One, which will cost $574.99, can be purchased directly from HTC's U.S. site. Since it's a GSM version, the phone will only work with T-Mobile or AT&T SIM cards.
The HTC One available for pre-order from Sprint costs $200 with a two-year contract for the 32GB model with a choice between black and silver. Pre-orders for AT&T began Thursday, which includes a 32GB version for $200 with a two-year contract. The HTC One will arrive on shelves for AT&T and Sprint users on April 19.
Toward the end of March a clone of the HTC One surfaced from a Chinese manufacturer. Called the HDC One, the device looks quite similar to the HTC One. As expected, however, the clone has weaker features, with the exception of a newer version of Android Jelly Bean. The device followed a clone of the HTC Butterfly, called the Star S5 Butterfly. The device had worse but still decent specs and a lower price point at $222.99. The HDC One also retails low, at $160.
