The Division has an upcoming DLC called the Last Stand. Unfortunately, it will not be available for everyone on its release date.
Timed Exclusive Deals
Developer and publisher Ubisoft did not set a specific release date for the third and supposedly last paid DLC. Not all The Division players though could play it once it comes out. Xbox One players will have first dibs on the DLC for one month before other platforms such as the PlayStation 4 can have it.
The Division Player Base
Ubisoft reported a big decrease of players in 2016 but the numbers are quietly increasing. The upcoming Last Stand DLC would have made a considerable to its present player base. Unfortunately, the game's timed exclusive deal effectively cuts of a large parts of its player base. Based on statistics, PS4 players normally outnumber Xbox players by a wide margin. Perhaps it's time for developers like Ubisoft to do away with timed-exclusive deals. It's hurting their sales and annoying interested players whose gaming platform has been excluded.
About Last Stand DLC
Players who bought The Division season pass will get the expansion when its release. Those who don't have the pass can buy the additional content for $15. Ubisoft recently release a short video trailer for Last Stand. The preview lasted less than a minute but speculations and theories about the expansion have been cropping up. Some pundits observed that characters in the game seemed to be wearing either blue or red color. This seems to indicate that two teams will be involved in some sort of match. One commentator mentioned seeing six agents in a team. Perhaps the latest DLC will feature an Overwatch-like match but this is still speculation at this point.
Ubisoft Revealing More
