Pokemon GO has a recent update that could make it possible trainers to breed their Pokemon. The game is now releasing both male and female gender out in the wild.
Poke Genders Finally Proven
There have been reports that a number of Pokemon GO players are catching both male and female ones. Both genders though have the same CP and IV values. The only way to tell the difference aside from being informed by the game is their appearance.
In the case of Pikachu and Raichu, the male gender sports an end tail that looks like thunder while the female has a heart shaped one. The female Venusaur has a seed in its flower while the Magikarp male has the yellow whiskers, the female has white.
Breeding Is Possible
The addition of male and female genders brings the possibility of breeding in Pokemon GO. This is all speculation for now but breeding has always been a main feature in most Pokemon games. It is also known that Pokemon GO developer Niantic usually take its time in rolling out major additions in the game. If there is any plan to introduce breeding in the game it's not happening anytime soon.
What To Expect So Far
Pokemon GO dataminers so far have uncovered a lot of potential additional contents to the game, according to the Silph Road. New quick and charge moves are now put in place. It also seems Niantic can deploy the moves whenever it wants to. Names of Evolution Items have also appeared in the game's codes. Additional information about the items is scarce though. A Gen 2 Pokemon called Unown and its numerous forms have also been included. Although, pundits are unsure how Niantic will handle them. There are also some general details about avatar customization, gym radius and shiny Pokemon. There are also hints of an in-game news feature and additional new sponsors as well.
