Pokemon Duel: Another Pokemon Mobile Game For People Tired Of Pokemon GO

Pokemon Duel is a new Pokemon mobile game and it's available right now. It offers a completely different gameplay to Pokemon GO.

About Pokemon Duel

Pokemon Duel was release on 2106 in Japan but under the name Pokemon Co-master. Recently, Nintendo has made it available worldwide for both iOS and Android devices. It's basically a board game in which players build a deck of six Pokemon. The objective of the game is to get one of the Pokemon to reach the end of opponent's board. At the same time, prevent the enemy player from doing the same. A short video preview is available here.

Like Pokemon GO, the new mobile game is free and offers in-app game purchases. Players will need to build formidable decks based on the available Pokemon they have. App users are also given the option of customizing movesets. The mobile game also allows players to battle others online in real time. The microtransactions cover gems which are used for the purchase of new Pokemon and other items. For more information about Pokemon Duel, interested users can visit its official site.

Pokemon Duel has just been released worldwide but it's clearly getting sizeable attention. As of press time, a number of people have reported having problems simply downloading it. A number of media outlets have also reported that the game is undergoing maintenance. Curiously, it shares some similarity with Super Mario Run requiring the iOS or Android device to have constant Internet connection.

Pokemon Duel Vs Pokemon GO

It's still early to tell if former and current Pokemon GO players will jump to the newest Pokemon mobile game. It clearly gives Pokemon fans options since there are now two of them. It's most likely though fans of the gaming franchise will play both mobile titles since each offers different game plays. Nevertheless, Niantic should be aware that there's a new Pokemon mobile game in town.
