It seems that NetherRealm Studios is hyping its Injustice 2 to gamers and fans. A new trailer has been unveiled together with the announcement of its beta version that has already gone live. In this connection, a dev stream was started by the studio on Jan. 24, 2017 that provided relevant information about the upcoming video game.
NetherRealm Will Use Watchtower Streams To Provide Information
Injustice 2 is the sequel to the very popular Injustice: Gods Among Us, which was launched in 2013. The previous title featured the iconic heroes of the DC Universe together with their enemies. This game is full of brutal encounters between the opposing forces of good and evil.
It was announced a few days ago that NetherRealm will hold a "Watchtower Stream" on Jan. 24 at 3:00 p.m. The stream is supposed to be channeled through the developer's official Twitch channel. Many have been expecting that the stream will offer new information that Ed Boon, the video game director, has confirmed.
The Watchtower Stream was only the first of a number of streams that NetherRealm will undertake for Injustice 2. This will go on until the Injustice 2 is officially launched in May 2017. The developers of the game have provided some information about the game in their first stream. Following is a recap of the things that the game developers have covered in that particular stream.
They Offered Information About The Game's Characters
The game developers said that every character returning to Injustice 2 will have brand new moves. Fans can expect that more of these characters will receive premium skins. According to the developers, the upcoming video game will have the largest initial DLC line up for NRS and the biggest story mode.
Gamers will also be able to see the gears that their friends have online. Ed Boon also did not discount the fact that third-party characters might be included in the game's roster. The reason is that the previous titles showed that these are the most downloaded characters of the game. Each character in Injustice 2 will have five various loadouts for their gear. The game will also have character select interactions from Mortal Kombat X returns.
The Beta Version Of Injustice 2 Was Also Discussed
NetherRealm also informed the fans that the first wave of beta codes of Injustice 2 has already been released. Every Watchtower stream will roll out more of them. This current beta will have Superman, Supergirl, Batman and Atrocitus. There may be other characters that will be added during the beta releases. This beta will only last for one month.
Other Aspects Of The Game Were Also Discussed In The Stream
The stream also included an in-depth look at the gameplay video clip of Robin. A future Watchtower stream will showcase the various types of shaders of Injustice 2 in the future. The game developers also said that the ability slots in a player's inventory can change or replace current abilities. A particular ability gear may require two slots such as the gears that can change a player's super.
Before the Watchtower stream ended, NetherRealm announced that they will hold the next stream for Injustice 2 in two weeks. The video game is slated for release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 16, 2017. Fans are hoping that the next stream will offer more detailed information about the game.
