EA confirmed in March of last year that they will be releasing NBA Live 2017 early. However, it seems like the upcoming sports game will not be arriving either this February or March due to the conflict of EA's upcoming game title Mass Effect: Andromeda.
According to the official website of NBA Live, EA has prepared something special for their NBA Live fans. However, the said release was intended for mobile version of the game which was launched officially last 2016. Apparently, both Mass Effect: Andromeda and NBA Live occupied the slots of EA's Q4 of release for its 2017 fiscal calendar earlier last year. Unlike other video games, EA's Q4 is from January to March.
Meanwhile, NBA's upcoming All-Star 2017 Event is scheduled to arrive this Feb. 19 and several fans suspected that EA might release the NBA Live 2017 either before or during the event. However, time is running out since there's only less than a month away for the All-Star Event's arrival. Perhaps, EA will only announce the game's release date during the event. As of the moment, it is suggested to wait for EA's official announcement regarding NBA Live 2017's release date.
On the other hand, The BitBag reported that EA's plan of releasing NBA Live 2017 early this year can cause conflict to the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda, which is generally anticipated by the fans due to its known space drama gameplay and 4K compatibility. Though both titles have different genres, it is still possible that Mass Effect: Andromeda's strong potential to outperform its batch might affect NBA Live 2017's console release.
Overall, there is still a chance for EA to release NBA Live 2017 on or before March 2017. Meanwhile, video game regulation board from South Korea recently confirmed that an NBA Live game will be arriving on Xbox One.
