Toys R' Us just received some NES Classic Edition stock. Chances are, they're all gone by now.
According to GoNintendo, the mini NES Classic would arrive at Toys R' Us stores on the morning of Jan. 26. That was yesterday, as of this writing.
This is the first time that the popular retail store got some NES Classics since the holiday season, according to a report. That said, one Toy R' Us branch reportedly had around a dozen units of the mini NES which shows that the supply is steadily improving.
Those who failed to score one from the retail chain may want to check its site regularly and wait for notifications.
From 30 to 600
With news that the NES Classic can now be hacked to contain over 600 games, it seems like the interest for the rare retro console will be rekindled. Not that the mini NES has disappointed as a console causing people to lose interest in the machine but more so because of Nintendo's failure to predict the high demand for the tiny device.
Slowly but surely, Nintendo is addressing the problem. Toys R Us is just the latest to receive stocks of the mini NES. A few days ago, GameStop's stock was replenished while the same can be said with Walmart and Target.
Wireless Controller
Those who already have their own NES Classic may be glad to know that the 8Bitdo NES30 Classic Edition Wireless Controller is up for sale at Amazon. Each unit of the controller which features a Bluetooth Retro Receiver can be had for $39.99 which is just $20 short of a new mini NES console. But with the annoyingly short cord that comes with the NES Classic's controller, the 8Bitdo NES30 controller will be all worth it, especially if you have 600 plus games to choose from.
