‘Final Fantasy XV' Players Curious About ‘Dream Egg' From Moogle Chocobo Carnival; What Is It Exactly?

Square Enix has rolled out its latest patch with the release of a new in-game event they have called the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. The said festive event is filled with many things to try out such as the main story quest and countless side quests. But players who have tried out the said in-game event are now wondering just what this Dream Egg is all about.

Visiting the said carnival for the first time triggers a cutscene that shows a baffled Noctis who is confused at the transformation that has been bestowed on the water city, Altissia. During the cutscene, Noctis’s imaginary best friend, which is the adorable yet useful astral named Carbuncle tells him about the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. Carbuncle also explains to him that the various games scattered all over the city, which were exclusively put up for the carnival, rewards Choco-Mog Medallions that he can exchange for certain items that ranges from rare to special ones.

As Carbuncle has pointed out as well, the main story for the Moogle Chocobo Carnival of "Final Fantasy XV" requires Noctis to purchase a VIP Pass, which costs 50 Choco-Mog Medalllions. This VIP Pass will secure him a booking at a suite at the Levielle Hotel in Altissia as well as an up close view of the climatic carnival fireworks. Once Noctis completes the main story for the in-game carnival, he is rewarded with a peculiar item called Dream Egg.

Now, this Dream Egg has gotten a lot of fans curious since the said reward is simply placed in the player’s inventory as a key item, described as a special enigmatic egg full of big dreams but shows no signs of hatching any time soon. Fans have brewed up a lot of theories and speculations are being thrown here and there. Some have suggested that the said Dream Egg could be the rare black Chocobo or might even be a Moggle that some Altissians have figured to be extinct.

Several are hoping that it would be Chocobo buddy, a flying one actually, that does not need to be rented and will be there at every beckon. Some though has taken the Dream Egg with a grain of salt and has pointed out that based on the description, the said key item may just be a metaphor for Square Enix depicting that they have a lot of updates rolling out soon, especially with the Season Pass, and that the Dream Egg might just be an entrance to one of the expansions of “Final Fantasy XV”, just like how the Moogle Chocobo Carnival was only accessible through the use of an in-game key item, Free Carnival Passport. While the Dream Egg remains a mystery, the fact is that it will be explained only once Square Enix releases a new update that will activate or make the said item useful.

The Moogle Chocobo Carnival is a special playing mode in “Final Fantasy XV” that fans can incorporate with any of their main story saved games. Sadly, this special mode only allows Noctis to visit the one-time celebration, probably for the meantime since it is rather cruel to find out that the Chocobo-loving Prompto is not present to see what the carnival offers. The event also requires Noctis to follow a main and sole story quest while taking on several side quests to earn as many Choco-Mog Medallions as he can. This said main story is activated as soon as Noctis sets foot on Altissia upon choosing Special Game from the “Final Fantasy XV” main title menu.
