Maisie Williams Teases ‘Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Cliffhanger, Disses Leaks, And Hopes To Be In Season 8

Maisie Williams, one of the stars in the popular HBO television series, “Game of Thrones” recently sat down for an interview and went on to tease some details about the upcoming seventh season. Aside from that, she has shared her thoughts on of what will become of her in the last season of the said series. Williams is known to be frank when it comes to voicing out her thoughts and she did not hold back on speaking out on the leaks that have randomly popped out regarding the "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

Maisie Williams recently went on an interview with TimeOut and revealed that “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will leave fans with a massive cliffhanger. Williams insisted on just this tiny detail but did say that she was excited at how things will fan out for the rest of the series. She said that she wants the series to finally get it over with even though she loved working on it because she did not want “Game of Thrones” to drag on for too long.

George R.R. Martin can really get some pointers from Williams with him dragging the release of “The Winds of Winter” for too long. Anyway, Williams did tease that story of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 has everything tumbling around, probably with all the events unfolding. She also revealed that they have reached the climax of the series and the production is putting everything in the series in place for its impending end.

Nobody knows how exactly “Game of Thrones” will end because anything can happen in a series as unpredictable as this one. Even Williams admitted that the remaining cast, including her, have no idea whether or not they will make it to the last season but they are hoping that they will. One of the reasons she wanted her character, Arya Stark, to last until the last season was because rumor has it, the actors that make it up to the last season of this series will get a tattoo and she just wants one.

Kidding aside, she never thought that she would be part of the first season so she hopes she will also part of “Game of Thrones” Season 8 as the events in the next season is already setting up how every character’s future will be. So far, thanks to the leaks, fans have an idea that a battle between allies will take place but no one knows how that will turn out. Martin always had a knack for killing off the stars of “Game of Thrones”, especially the Starks so everyone is not eager to know if the Starks will head to a downfall against Cersei Lannister. Then there’s also the White Walkers that the series has to focus on so there’s really no telling as to what might happen in the series.

Despite the leaked information given for fans who are waiting for the release of the series and the book, Williams expressed her disappointment over the leaks on “Game of Thrones” Season 7. Being the frank person that she is, she advised people to stop leaking photos of production sets or something else related to the show because they are simply ruining it for everyone. She admitted that the leaks have made her upset, hurt, and annoyed because the leaks could have even originated from within the production and she demanded that people refrain from doing such childish acts if they were trying to hype fans.

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 is slated to premiere sometime in the middle of 2017. It will be aired on HBO in the United States and on Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom. “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is said to be the final season of the series.
