Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket Gets Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update Via ROM

The Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket on AT&T received an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update not too long ago, and now users are in for yet another treat with an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket SGH-I727 is available through CM10.1 M3 custom ROM. The ROM is a nightly build and your Galaxy S2 Skyrocket may get some FC errors and other bugs that you will need to fix by reinstalling stock firmware or any other stable custom ROM.

Since this Jelly Bean update is not official, in order to flash the ROM zip and Google Apps zip files on your device, you will need custom recovery such as ClockworkMod. Remember that your Galaxy S2 Skyrocket can get bricked if you choose to go forward with this process. This should only occur if the device is improperly rooted or the instructions are not followed correctly.
