'Supergirl' Season 2, Episode 12 Spoilers: Lena Arrested After Prison Break; Alex And Maggie Celebrate Valentine's

"Supergirl" season 2, episode 12 spoilers revealed series villain Lillian Luthor (Brenda Strong) and Metallo (guest star Frederick Schmidt) will escape from prison. Meanwhile, Lena Luthor (guest star Katie McGrath) will be blamed for aiding her mother's escape.

The official synopsis for "Supergirl" season 2, episode 12 via Spoiler TV reveals Metallo will break out from prison and help Lilian escape. The police will then arrest Lena, blaming her for the prison break, However, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is on Lena's side. She will believe Lena has nothing to do with the escape.

Lilian was imprisoned in "Supergirl" season 2, episode 8 after a failed attempt to wipe out all aliens in National City with Project CADMUS. Even with the police evidence, it is understandable that Kara will be skeptical about Lena's alleged involvement in the escape. In episode 8, Lena had a big role in the failure of Project CADMUS. She tricked her mother by making her believe she supports her mission, but behind her back, Lena made the Medusa virus ineffective by switching its isotopes before it was released. She was also credited for calling the authorities to catch her adoptive mother.

Kara will fight to prove Lena's innocence. The synopsis also reveals that there will be some flashbacks on Lena's background, on how she became a Luthor. Lena was adopted by the Luthor family at the age of four. She had quite a difficult childhood with their mother favoring her brother, Lex, over her.

The episode will also feature Alex (Chyler Leigh) celebrating Valentine's day with his girlfriend Maggie (Floriana Lima). On the other hand, there are speculations that Mxyzptlk (Peter Gadiot) will make an appearance in the last few minutes of episode 12. The magical imp is taking the center stage in episode 13 and declare his love for Kara.

"Supergirl" season 2, episode 12 titled " "Luthors" will air on Monday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
