New Horror Games 'Call Of Cthulhu' & 'Vampyr' Will Be Released This Year

Fans of the horror genre are in for a treat as Focus Home Interactive updates that the games Vampyr, and Call of Cthulhu, two new horror games to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, are set to be released on the latter part of the year. This would mean that people might get the chance to play something scary on the months leading to or on the holidays.

Vampyr is a role-playing game set on the third-person view. According to wccftech, the game is about a doctor named Jonathan E. Reid in London, who becomes a vampire. Although the character is a doctor, the game revolves around the notion to either feed or drink an NPC's blood thus killing them or to save a person's life.

In this game, the actions of the player will have consequences though. So the player needs to decide on whether to choose to uphold the characters persona as a doctor, or they could play a killer in the disguise of a doctor.

Call of Cthulhu is another horror game based on the lore made by H.P. Lovecraft. The role-playing game is set in the Cthulthu mythos where the player gets to be in the shoe of an investigator at Darkwater Island.

The story revolves around an investigator who is at Darkwater Island and is looking into the disappearance of a person. As the investigation progresses, the player eventually learns that this is more than a missing person's case and more on the strange and horrific secrets that the island is trying to hide.

Although the games are set to be released sometime in the latter part of the year, the trailers for both games are now readily available to be viewed online. At this time, little has been revealed about Vampyr and Call of Cthulthu so, fans can surely expect more details to be revealed in the coming months.
