Executives of the show admitted that the spinoff would not just be a usual "The Blacklist" season. It is different from the said series as it has its own story to tell. News even reiterated that the upcoming eight episodes of the show would gladly focus on establishing the world and putting more thrill to it. They even stated that viewers should expect more intense scenes and action-packed adventure for the main characters.
