Tales Of Berseria Guide To Mastering The Expedition System

Upon reaching a certain part in the game, players will be able to initiate expedition quests that can reap them some valuable rewards. Make the most of the system and get all of the loots with this "Tales of Berseria" guide.

"Tales of Berseria" Guide to Unlocking the Feature

In order to unlock the said feature, fans will first have to meet with the pirate, Eizen, as per Attack of the Fanboy. Once finished, players will have the ability to embark on "Ship Expeditions" that happen off-screen. Fans send their ship to a specific location via the menu and the crew will leave for around 30 minutes (real time) and also engage in three battles.

Upon their return, they will bring loot that ranges from treasure, TL coins, cooking ingredients and more. However, the number of items they will bring back depends on their number of wins from their battles. Although, it is worth noting that players cannot influence their crew's wins or losses.

On the other hand, they can manipulate the time by speeding up their console's clock. Furthermore, fans can engage in combat in order to shave off 30 seconds from the actual expedition time. With this in mind, they should grind in places where plenty of weak enemies spawn.

Various Expedition Skills Adds Useful Effects

That aside, there are also expedition skills that the crew can unlock after discovering treasure. Sometimes these skills are tied to certain characters meaning that if they are taken off the active party, that specific skill will not be available. Players will get experience from going on many expeditions which will eventually unlock Normin Island upon reaching level 15.

Moreover, there are over 20 different skills in total with each of them corresponding to a specific treasure, as per Gamers Heroes. The "Rangetsu Basic Training" gives a small bonus towards experience during expeditions while "Scholarly Drive" increases the chances of finding food. "Unyielding" gives a small boost to winning expedition battles and "Skill Slot Expansion" allows two skills to trigger at once.

Meanwhile, "Fortunetelling (Trickery)" raises the chances of finding rare food while "Disciple Of The Sail (Lubber Class)" reduces the dispatch time. "The Mistresses Support" increases the chances of triggering a skill while the "Rangetsu Special Training" gives more experience during expeditions. Finally, "The Master of Trivia" increases the chances of finding food and the "Grit And Guts" increases victory rate.

Embarking on expeditions costs absolutely nothing but comes with a wealth of possible rewards and loot. Players will get a notification when they crew returns and they can immediately send them out into the field again. Fans should make the most out of this "Tales of Berseria" guide to get the upper hand in expeditions.
