The production of the hit Netflix series has always been secretive. This time, however, "Stranger Things" co-creator Matt Duffer treated fans to some important plot points for "Stranger Things" season 2. In a recent interview, Matt explained how the second season will go on. Will is still unwell, Hopper is keeping some secrets. On the other hand, he also hinted that Eleven will be having a huge part in the upcoming season.
The series will continue on Halloween in Hawkins, Indiana a year after the final events in season 1. Matt teases new characters coming to the town -- siblings, Billy (Dacre Montgomery) and Max (Sadie Sink). The brother, Billy would not make friends with the boys, however, it looks like Max will be their new buddy. It was also revealed that she will be in a love triangle with Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). A report said, "Stranger Things" season 2, episode 1 is titled "Lost Brother," which might pertain to the new characters.
Meanwhile, Will would have no time for love. He is still suffering a post-traumatic stress disorder after his rescue from the alternative dimension called the Upside Down. "He seems to be seeing images from the Upside Down. The question is whether they're real or not," he told Entertainment Weekly. Hopper (David Harbour) would cover up about the past events like Barb's disappearance. He thinks it would protect Joyce and the kids. Joyce, on the other hand, will attempt to make things better for Will.
Matt also teased that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) will be a major part of "Stranger Things" season 2. The season 1 finale hinted Eleven is alive after her deadly battle with Demogorgon as Hopper (David Harbour) was shown dropping off her favorite snack in the woods.
"I want people to know that she's back and she's a major part of the season and not know how or why" Duffer said. He added that the series will expand on Eleven. "Stranger Things" season 2 teaser also shows Eleven with a new look, she is shown with short, curly hair instead of a shaved head in season 1. The telekinetic girl is set to have a storyline and the series will also dig deeper into her history, about her origins and how she came to the world.
