Samsung's Premium Suite software upgrade has finally arrived on Wednesday April 24 for Sprint users of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Premium Suite has already come out for other carriers but this is the first time Sprint users are getting a taste of the upgrade. The update will arrive in stages, so consumers are advised to wait if the update doesn't appear right away.
The Premium Suite update to the Galaxy S3 comes with a number of features, including the Continuous Input function, AllShare Cast and Smart Dock, which allows for improved compatibility with docking stations.
Major upgrades include Group Cast, which allows users to collaborate with others on presentations and documents at the same time. With Multi Window support, users can divide the phone's display and run two apps at the same time.
The camera for the Galaxy S3 gets a few tweaks. Instead of Best Photo, owners of the Galaxy S3 can now use Best Face, whereby the best face for each person in a given photo is chosen after five consecutive snaps. Also included is the Paper Artist app for photo editing.
Those who want to check for a manual download of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Premium Suite upgrade can click on Settings -> System Update -> Update Samsung Software. Make sure your phone is well charged prior to updating.
Despite the hype surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S4, which will become available in stores shortly, the Galaxy S3 remains a popular device among smartphone enthusiasts. The smartphone has recently been the recipient of a few Android Jelly Bean updates.
