Verizon subscribers, rejoice: The Samsung Galaxy S4 will have a May 30 release date. Verizon pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 begin Thursday, April 25. Big Red announced the news earlier Wednesday via Twitter.
Beginning Thursday, you can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon for $249.99 on a new, two-year contract. The Samsung Galaxy S4 release date is May 30, so your phone will probably ship out a few days before then. As always with pre-orders, you have a chance of receiving your device before the in-store release date. A $50 mail-in rebate is being offered with the Verizon Galaxy S4, bringing its net price down to $199 — the same as AT&T.
If you're looking to pick up the Galaxy S4 off-contract, it will run you $649.99 for the 16GB version.
Verizon hasn't revealed yet whether or not it will offer the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S4, so if storage space is a deal breaker for you, we'd suggest holding off a bit.
Verizon's Galaxy S4 will offer a 4G LTE data connection and it will be the quad-core variant of the S4. For those who don't already have the Galaxy S4 specs sheet memorized, the phone features a 5-inch HD display, 13-megapixel camera and will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
With the Samsung Galaxy S4 being made available on all four of the major U.S. carriers, you have the luxury of shopping around for a deal. T-Mobile's "Uncarrier" price point is the most affordable, with an up-front payment of just $149.99, then $20/month for 24 months, which comes out to $629.99.
