Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 lingers to tub toward its U.S. premiere on May 5 with an eye towards continuing the enormous success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange set the gauge high for Vol. 2, but then again, so did the original Guardians of the Galaxy. Writer/director James Gunn appears easygoing by the pressure of living up to the MCU's standards, as he has elatedly tidbits of the sequel's production all over the process.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Most Awaited Sequel
Gunn's social media pages have become must-follow accounts for Guardians of the Galaxy fans, as he has been pleasingly transparent in the content and info he has shared about the film. The sequel is sure to retain many of the same qualities that made the original so unforgettable and yet entertaining, while Gunn looks to give something different in certain areas - even the opening credits.
In spite of Guardians of the Galaxy's sparkling and real opening titles, Gunn is confident that Vol. 2 can take the opening credits to a new level. The director replied to a fan on his Twitter account on Sunday when asked about the introductory title sequence of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and whether it will be as cool as the original.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Is Creating A New Boom Basting Opening Titles
The opening titles of the first Guardians of the Galaxy are bare during a sequence portraying the first scenes of Chris Pratt in action as Star-Lord. Partly set to Redbone's "Come And Get Your Love," the acts show Star-Lord dancing to the song as part of his "Awesome Mix Vol. 1" while he steers the landscapes of the planet Morag in search of loots.
Gunn's tweet recommends that the opening titles of the sequel will evolve from the unique and try something new - but, of course, they're still apparently going to be "cool." The director is so clear about his movies when he's in the process of making them, he's always running the risk of setting fans up for dissatisfaction. The first Guardians of the Galaxy had a unforgettable opening title sequence and now the sequel must surpass it - but there's little reason to doubt that with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Gunn can deliver something fresh and exciting.
