Niantic officially adds Ditto in Pokemon Go's roster as part of the Thanksgiving Event which was conducted last year. As reported, the mimic Pokemon has a unique way of spawning since it copies the appearance of the common spawns such as Pidgey, Rattata, Zubat, and Magikarp. With Gen 2 update now confirmed, fans are wondering how Ditto spawns reacted to this new addition to the game.
According to the report from Otakukart, there are lots of questions raised regarding the topic. Some of these questions talk about Ditto's range of mimic and the possibility of Ditto learning more transformations in the future. Meanwhile, Generation 2 update has been tossed up for quite some time now, which is expected to bring a new set of Pokemon to the game. As result, players might encounter Ditto into these new Pokemon species appearing in the wild.
Based on the current information about Ditto, it might not be too hard to see Ditto on other Pokemon if Niantic includes this into their future plans. Apparently, there are several pieces of evidence showing that Ditto could potentially appear into the new set Pokemon since there are actually a few Pokemon similar to these labels. For instance, Feebass will have a great chance to become Ditto regardless of the label given. This is because it shares a similar stress level with Magikarp.
Potentially, Ditto is disguised as a hard level Pokemon instead of being a fish-like Pokemon in future generations. The abovementioned labels are identified as Common Bird, Rodent, Commonly feared animal in the real world, Fish like Pokemon. Furthermore, here is the list of Pokemon from generation 1 to 4 tagged by these labels respectively.
For Generation 1, Pidgey, Rattata, Zubat and Magikarp. For Generation 2, Hoothoot, Ledyaba, Spinarak and Remoraid. Generation 3 includes Taillow, Zigzagoon, Wurmple and Feebass. Lastly, for Generation 4, the list includes the following Pokemon Starly, Bidoof, Kricketot, and Finneon. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that these are just observations and are unconfirmed until Niantic issues an official statement.
