This upcoming weekend might be considered as one of the best days for the players of Hi-Rez Studios' multiplayer first-person shooter game Paladins. It was reported that the company is hosting a Crystal Storm Weekend which is expected to bring a total of 270 free Crystals. The said mini-event will officially start today, Feb. 17, 2017, and ends on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.
According to the official website of Paladins, players are required to complete a common achievement in order to receive these most wanted free in-game crystals. As seen on the announcement, players will need to complete First Wins of the Day and earn 30 Crystals for every completion. Since there are three First Wins of the Day achievement for each day, players will be able to earn as much as 90 Crystals every day.
Based on the report, Paladins Crystal Storm Weekend is available to the PC and Console versions of the game. Meanwhile, players are highly encouraged to grab this rare opportunity and start earning these Crystals.
For beginners of the game, Crystals are the game's premium currency, which is used to buy several in-game cosmetics, heroes, boosts, or chests. Meanwhile, they can be earned as a daily reward particularly on the 6th and 7th days which will award 15 and 35 crystals, respectively. Furthermore, Crystals can also be purchased via real-world money.
On the other hand, this new Crystal Storm Weekend will give those players who have not yet completed several skin collections a chance to complete them. Currently, there are three new collections available in their own respective chests such as Genie Ying, Code Green Viktor, and the Valentine's Day skin Collection, the Heartbreaker Skye. Each of these chests cost 100 Crystals. In addition, Ruckus' Starslayer Collection and Kinessa's Cutthroat Collection are currently on sale.
Finally, Paladins Open Beta 44 has been teased by Hi-Rez Studios lately. However, there are no further details when they will conduct a patch preview of the said upcoming update.
