Rumors of the mysterious handset, the Motorola X, have been surfacing in the smartphone space for quite a while now but details of the device are not known. A recent report now indicates that the Motorola XT1055 has appeared in AnTuTu benchmarks once again.
"The Motorola XT1055 has leaked out in benchmarks and it could well turn out to be that mysterious device everyone is waiting for," per PhoneArena.
The AnTuTu benchmark shows the terminal name or the device name as XT1055 running on a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 chipset. The device is running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has received a total score of 18,252. The destination of the device is in the U.S.
This is not the first time that the Motorola X is appearing in AnTuTu benchmarks as a device named Google X appeared on benchmarks recently; however, the results of the benchmark are different than the latest benchmark results.
Previous benchmarks revealed the device name as Google X with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and scored 15,479 points on AnTuTu benchmark. The benchmarks also list the operating system as Android 5.0.1 Key Lime Pie. The results hint the device to be a mid-range smartphone rather than a top-end handset. Speculations suggest that the upcoming Motorola X could be a line-up of smartphones or the handset could be customizable by customers.
Some reports indicate that the Motorola X Phone may make its appearance at Google I/O this month, but other reports point to a fall launch date.
Neither Google nor Motorola have released any information on the X phone so we will have to take all rumors about the device with a pinch of salt and wait until an official announcement is made to confirm the rumored handset.
