The rumor mill for the purported Motorola X Phone has been spinning for quite a while and now, latest reports indicate that the handset will be available in over 25 colors and on all four major U.S. carriers.
"The information we've heard from our source who has seen it a LTE version was that it will be released on all 4 US carriers and come in over 25 different color options. The bottom bezel is remarkably small as you can see from the drawing above and the Tinhte.vn images. Like the other ones pictured, this one was 32GB storage, 2GB of RAM, and no SDCard. Like the others, it was still running Android 4.2 recently and was codenamed ghost," reports 9to5Google.
Not all handsets debut on all four major carriers in the U.S., which include AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. The Lumia 920 is exclusive to AT&T and T-Mobile did not get the iPhone 5 until recently. However, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is available on all of the four aforementioned U.S. carriers.
A recent report also shows leaked pictures of the X Phone which are supposedly legit; however, no official announcement has been released by Motorola or Google. Unfortunately, the leaked pictures do not show much of the actual phone but suggest that the handset has a kind of a rear case which is a part of the handset itself.
Reports suggest that Motorola will offer protective plates/skins in 25 colors along with the actual handset straight out of the box. As many smartphone customers buy protective cases to suit their personal taste, it seems that Motorola will be pro-active and will provide not one but many protective casings for the upcoming handset.
The display of the upcoming Motorola X Phone is supposed to be 4.7-inch but a with very slim bottom bezel the handset seems to be 4.3-inch. 9to5Google also reports that the Motorola X Phone seems to be a successor to the Droid RAZR or RAZR M, as both the handsets have small bezels.
As we don't know if and when the Motorola X Phone will make its appearance, we will have to take the rumors with a pinch of salt and wait for an official announcement of the handset.
