Despite Disney's official cancellation of "Girl Meets World", it seems like creator Michael Jacobs still believes that the show should be renewed for another season. Sources revealed that Michael Jacobs are joining fans in the protest for the series to have another installment.
'Girl Meets World' And Creator Michael Jacobs In Their Journey Of Finding A Perfect Network
According to International Business Times, Michael Jacobs is beyond grateful that "Girl Meets World" has reached three installments. But, he believes that the show should not just stop in three seasons as it still has a lot of stories to tell.
However, the show's creator already understood that the series might not be perfectly fit for the target audience of the Disney network. It can be recalled that the network is made to capture young audiences and the show's content might be mature enough for them. As Jacobs stated in an interview:
"I had hoped to run at Disney Channel for four years but realized many shows stop after three, and our cast and the natural stories to tell might have outgrown the venue, so I wrote the last episodes of the season with some closure just in case,"
Jacobs reiterated that he won't let a specific project end unfinished. This is why he still wrote the last episodes for the show's supposed season renewal.
Will 'Girl Meets World' Be Shown In Other Network?
On the other hand, it seems like Jacobs is in highest hopes that "Girl Meets World" would be saved by a different network. In the show's third season finale, the creator admitted that he left some questions hanged to give way for a possible renewal of the show.
Although no network has taken into consideration, the creator still believed that the show would get to find another home that will feature the future of the series' main characters.
