Pokemon GO Tyrogue Evolution Guide: How To Evolve Into Hitmonlee, Hitmonchap, Hitmonchan

Pokemon GO players can somehow select Tyrogue's evolution. Someone recently posted his findings on the likelihood of evolving the Pokemon into a Hitmonlee, Hitmonchap or Hitmonchan.

How To Evolve Tyrogue

Silphroad user DrWolfenstein posted his research on how to evolve Tyrogue into three possible ones. It seems trainers can control the evolution particular this Pokemon through its stats. A Tyrogue whose highest stat is Attack will likely evolve to Hitmonlee. If the highest stat is Defense, then it will result to a Hitmonchan. Pokemon GO players can get the Hitmontop if its strength is Stamina or HP.

In case any of the three stats result in a tie, the outcome is a random choice. If it's a toss-up between Attack and Stamina, though, the likely result is a Hitmonlee. In the case of a tie between Defense and Stamina, the likely evolution is Hitmonchan.

Most Pokemon GO players who evolved the Tyrogue mostly end up with the Hitmontop followed by the Hitmonlee. The Reddit user was candid enough to admit at least two of his interviewees did not fit the theory. Still, he insists the rest of the cases have so far proven the study to be correct.

About The Tyrogue

The Tyrogue is a Gen 2 and fighting-type Pokemon. They only have one gender which is male, according to bulbapedia. Just like the Machop, it's also a bipedal and humanoid looking creature.

Niantic Releases More Pokemon

Pokemon Go developer Niantic recently released the Gen 2 creatures and there are 80 of them. This new Pokemon clearly revived the interest in the mobile game. Some of these Gen 2 creatures are not easy to collect too but that does not stop players from trying. The developer though has yet to deliver their earlier promise of including a trading feature to the game. The gym bugs that has been plaguing Pokemon GO players for quite some time has also been fixed recently.
