Many people have been yearning for a Station Wagon from Porsche for a long time and this wish has finally been granted. Porsche has finally introduced its first Station Wagon and it is called the 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.
2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo: The Powertrain
Given the fact that the spacious interior and cargo space are common in station wagons, consumers would usually look into the powertrain aspect first and see just how capable the 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is. According to Road and Track, the 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is available in four different models. The base Panamera 4 delivers 330 horsepower followed by the Panamera 4S that cranks out 440 horsepower.
The top two trims consist of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid that puts out 462 horsepower and the Panamera Turbo that delivers 550 horsepower. Accordingly, all models are equipped with a twin-turbo V6 except for the last trim as the top model draws power from a twin-turbo V8.
2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo: The Missing Link
In addition to the abovementioned models, it would seem that there is one more model that is missing from the lineup. According to Car and Driver, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is missing link. It was mentioned however, that a model capable of 680 horsepower will be delivered soon. Given these facts, the patience of those that have waited long for a Porsche Station Wagon have finally been rewarded.
2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo: Will It Reach The North American Market?
The good news does not end from the fact that Porsche has finally introduced a station wagon in its lineup. Reports stated that the 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo will also be available for the U.S. market and it is scheduled to arrive next fall. Accordingly, the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo will have a starting price of $97,250, $110,250, 105,050 and $155,050 for the Panamera 4, 4S E-Hybrid and turbo respectively.
