Dodge Latest Update: 2018 Challenger SRT Demon Reveals Another Teaser

Dodge has revealed yet another teaser for its upcoming 2018 Challenger SRT Demon that is scheduled to make its debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show. This time, Dodge revealed some of the parts of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that are intended for racing purposes.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: The New Teaser

The new teaser starts with the 2018 Dodge Challenger revving up followed by a display of several parts, which Dodge calls "race-hardened" parts. According to CNET, the 2018 Dodge Challenger's driveshaft that was also displayed in the teaser is made from high-strength steel and also 20 percent thicker than the conventional driveshaft. This allows the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to have 15 percent more torque capacity. In addition, the differential housing is made from more durable gear material including heat-treated aluminum alloy. Accordingly, this makes the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon capable of handling 30 percent more torque.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: Launch Control System And Four-Point Harness

According to Road and Track, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will also be fitted with a four-point harness along with everything it needs to put it on. Apparently, this is another indication that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be a hardcore drag machine. In addition, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon also has a launch control system to lower the output of torque should there be slippage for the car. This can be dangerous because a wheel hop can cause damage to some of the components of the car, particularly in the drivetrain section as reported.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: Countdown To Debut

Dodge promised to release weekly teasers for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the new one marks the seventh teaser from the automaker. With only a few more weeks before the 2017 New York Motor Show, there are also a few more teasers to go before the automaker reveals everything about the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Given this fact, more and more people are getting excited as the countdown continues for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon's official debut.
