If there's one game that DC Comic fans are greatly looking forward to, it's no other than Injustice 2. It's the sequel to the highly successful fighting game of 2013, which was developed by NetherRealm Studios. However, despite its release date being months away, the community has already voiced out its concerns. One of these is the possible imbalances that the follow-up game's gear system might offer. Well, fortunately, the video game company has an answer to that. Let alone their recent revelation of a very familiar character coming to the title.
According to PlayStationLifeStyle, the developer of the forthcoming game has admitted to have come up with multiple solutions to counter the aforementioned issue. Designer John Edwards confirmed that stats boost can now be disabled, be it online or offline. Heck, this new scheme will even be implemented in the various competitive modes. It should be noted that the latter is where stats are activated, but there'll be an option to disable it soon.
As for the possibility of an Injustice 2 player not opting to disable the stat boosts, the studio has a workaround for it. Edwards said that they'll automatically "boost up the lower-level character's base stat" to the point it'll be equivalent to that of the high-level character. However, there's a catch to this. Low level players, in particular, won't be given an automated boosts in their gears.
With what Edwards said, it's highly acceptable. It's only right, as players who've really invested time in building their gears is worthy of having better stats and abilities, among others. The interesting part here, though, is it won't necessarily be that significant that the lower-level player won't stand a chance.
In related Injustice 2 news, n3rdabl3 reports that the developers of the game have just announced the arrival of a very popular character from the comics. Well, it's no other than the formidable sorcerer Doctor Fate. This one here is the 24th character officially confirmed to arrive to the sequel, which will be released come May 16 this year. He's among the announced returning heroes and villains with the likes of Poison Ivy and Black Canary.
