The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Has Problems With Some Of Its Puzzles

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been labeled as one of the best game in the entire franchise for its unique designs, creative take on the open world and original narrative. However, some of the puzzles in the game have been giving players some problems for its controls and mechanics.

Gaining Spirit Orbs In The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Breath of the Wild drops the franchise's standard process of going through quests in a systemized method by scattering various puzzles known as Shrines. Players must actively seek out these locations to gain Spirit Orbs, which they can use to enhance their hearts or stamina. Hunting for Shrines can be a major adventure in itself as some are hidden behind rubble, below valleys and even in caves inside waterfalls.

Upon reaching the trial grounds, sometimes players will have to solve certain puzzles before earning their orbs. While most of these trials are straightforward and simple, some have seemingly become overcomplicated because of simple factors.

Several Problematic Shrines In The Game

Similarly, The Gizmo Life reports that the motion control puzzles players are giving players a rough time for its precise controls. In particular, one Shrine involves navigating a ball through a maze before transferring it to another platform all by having to move the Joycons. Some fans have become frustrated as even a simple tilt would lead the ball to the wrong direction or even spiraling off the maze.

On the other hand, Forbes reports another Shrine that involves sending a ball flying to another platform using the Stasis feature on the Sheikah Slate. The Mirro Shaz Shrine requires almost perfect positioning and timing for the item to fly into the slot on the other side of the area. While the game offers players two increased durability hammers, players can easily burn through these weapons after multiple attempts.

Despite the difficulty, each Shrine seems to have their own guides that can help players complete the puzzles much faster. That aside, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has still caught the attention of both fans and critics alike in spite of its current quirks. Those who want to play the game can buy a copy for the Wii U or Nintendo Switch.
