The NBA Playoffs is just around the corner. Most of the teams are still finding their way to secure their playoff spots. The teams from the Eastern Conference are almost set. On the other hand, the teams from Western Conference is still on a roller coaster ride, finding out which team will secure the spot.
Western Conference Is Still The Best Conference
There’s an ongoing debate for the past 10 years on who is the best Conference in the NBA. Based on the numbers and championships, Western Conference has dominated the battle for the past decade. The Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers are the only teams who were successful in defeating Western Conference teams in the Finals. This year is no different as the Wild West teams are fighting for a playoff position again.
A lot of NBA fans might not agree with this assessment, but numbers don’t lie. The Cleveland Cavaliers, who is currently the first place in the team standings for the Eastern Conference, has a total of 43 wins. While for the Western Conference, The Golden State Warriors have 52 wins. If the Cleveland Cavaliers will be included in the teams in the Western Conference, from first play in the East, their standing will go down to the number four spot in the West.
All-Stars Out Indefinitely
The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs faced each other last night. However, the game was not that enjoying as both teams missed their superstars in the recently concluded game. Golden State Warriors finally made a decision to rest Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. This is to avoid another injury as they are already missing Kevin Durant. For San Antonio Spurs, they are missing LaMarcus Aldridge. As reported, the basketball superstar has a Heart Arrhythmia and this is not the first time that it happened.
