"Fairy Tail" has just released its recent chapter for its ongoing manga, and fans can expect that it will be a box of revelations. This will be the final arc of the manga series and the plot twists in Chapter 526 are unexpected. The backstories of Larcade and August will be revealed. Gildarts will also figure out a way to defeat August.
August's Parents Are Zeref And Mavis
This has got to be the most surprising revelation in the arc so far, since Hiro Mashima, creator of the series, has been making fans believe that Larcade is the son of Zeref and Mavis. Larcade was introduced in some of the few chapters ago.
In the previous chapter, Zeref attacked him. August wondered why Zeref never showed any love for his son, whom everyone thought was Larcade. Now, in "Fairy Tail" Chapter 526, Zeref finally revealed that Larcade was a secret weapon that he created by magic. After that, he bestowed Larcade with his family name, Dragneel.
Meanwhile, August was affected by Gildarts and Cana's affection towards each other as father and daughter, because he never got attention from any of his parents. "Fairy Tail" Chapter 526 revealed that Precht Gaebolg, one of the Fairy Tail guild founders who now goes by the name Hades, found out about Mavis' son possessing an immense power, which was neither dark nor light, he didn't know what to do with him so instead he abandoned the baby. Zeref found him and named him August. Zeref saved August from a cruel childhood, without knowing that August was actually his real son with Mavis. Given August's age, the revelation revealed how old Mavis and Zeref are, despite their looks.
Gildarts And Cana Team Up To Defeat August
As shown in the previous chapters of "Fairy Tail", Gildarts was clearly having difficulty in defeating August. Even with the help of his daughter, Cana, they just couldn't lay a hand on him. However, Gildarts finally realized that August's power has something to do with copying magic, so the only way to fight him is to pummel him with attacks he cannot copy. Since August cannot copy Holder-Type magic, Gildarts used physical attacks, while Cana used her card attacks.
They were able to finally land devastating attacks on August but it does not mean that the fight is over yet. August is the strongest member of the Spriggan 12. "Fairy Tail" Chapter 527 might also disclose August's true power and maybe even his origin, which can become a turning point in the story. Hopefully, this chapter will also show the interaction between Mavis, August, Zeref, and Larcade.
