Assassin's Creed: Empire Leaks Once Again; Here's What We Know So Far

While Ubisoft has not yet released any details regarding the upcoming game entry on their popular Assassin's Creed franchise, it appears that a Swiss online retailer leaked something recently. The current listing from the Swiss retailer WOG reveals the game's possible release date. However, the product page has not announced anything else aside from the release date.

According to VG247, the next Assassin's Creed game has been greatly anticipated by the fans after Ubisoft announced that they would skip a year to develop a more stable game. There have been some in-game screenshots leaked recently before the reported leaks in the current WOG listing.

Based on previous evidence, online retailer listings are becoming more relevant in providing leaks on the current status of an upcoming game's development. Meanwhile, fans are expecting for Ubisoft to issue an announcement during this year's E3 and hope for a release afterward.

There is a great possibility that the current listing of Assassin's Creed: Empire is also just a speculation on the retailer's side. It might be a bid to bring in pre-orders of the game without the need to know further details about it.

Meanwhile, the report said that retailers are sometimes given access to the details shared through the supply chain. As a result, the early access to the details allows them to reveal it to the public. However, it is noted that it's not always the case.

The future Assassin's Creed game will arrive by the subtitle Empire. Based on previous reports, it is to be set in Ancient Egypt. As of the moment, there are few details regarding the new Assassin's Creed game aside from the rumors and being a complete renovation for the series.

Assassin's Creed: Empire is scheduled to arrive in Q4 of this year as seen on the recent WOG listing. That might probably be still subject to change since Ubisoft has not revealed anything yet.
