"Hawaii Five-0" season 8 is now official as it was announced on Thursday that CBS is picking it up for another installment. The new season though might be a sad ending to the series as its lead star recently said that he is already ready to move on from "Hawaii Five-0." His flee though is not yet confirmed and fans will definitely still see him, possibly by the end of 2017.
CBS gave its viewers a great news on Thursday when it renewed 16 of its T.V. series. This of course, included its popular drama, "Hawaii Five-0" which is now going towards its eighth run. The show's executive producer has been confident about the future of the show where he previously said in an interview that he does not yet see the end of "Hawaii Five-0."
However, this might not be for so long as its lead actor Alex O'Loughlin who plays Steve McGarrett already said that he is leaving the show after season 8. Peter Lenkov, of course, is not happy with the thought of losing his show's biggest actor and said that he does not want to do more seasons without O'Loughlin. He also said that he is not yet sure about the actor's participation in season 8, again hinting that O'Loughlin might leave earlier than expected.
Meanwhile, "Hawaii Five-0" has not yet announced its target for release since its renewal was just announced. With its inclusion though in the Spring Lineup of CBS, fans are guessing that it will come on the same premiere date that it always took for the past seven season which starts in September and will run through May of the following year.
"Hawaii Five-0" is maintaining an average viewers of 9.52 million and has a share of 1.20 rating in the 18-49 demographic. These records are up by 9% in total viewers and 5% in the demo. Following these values it should be no wonder why CBS renewed the series.
