HTC launched the much-awaited Android flagship the HTC One (also known as the HTC One M7) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Feb. 2013. The handset started to reach customers in many parts of the world in April and now the handset has also reached India with a price tag of Rs 42,900.
Just like the U.S. and some parts of Europe, the HTC One M7 was slated to hit the Indian shelves by the end of April (April 22) but HTC One's release was postponed in India. A previous report stated that anticipating high demand in the U.S. and Europe, HTC may push the release of the smartphone in major Asian countries, which were scheduled to get shipments in March, to April or even May this year.
Manu Seth, Marketing Director, HTC India said "HTC One would hit the retail shelves in India by second half of April 2013, most probably between the third or last week of the month."
