Mass Effect: Andromeda has been officially launched to the public recently and fans of the franchise have already shared their own ME experience. However, it seems like the game encountered several glitches, one of them caused to leveling up Ryder and his company faster than usual.
For those who are uninitiated, leveling Ryder up will lead to the other characters in his squad receiving XP. Since Mass Effect: Andromeda is considered as the buggiest AAA game in this generation, discovering exploits on XP is not a shocker.
The glitch was posted on Reddit by a user named GhostConstruct. Based on the thread, the exploit took place during a mission in Planet Voeld, particularly the side quest entitled Remove the Heart. The quest requires players to destroy the defense matrix as one of the mission's objectives. This side goal will reward players around 500 XP, which is a decent amount to acquire for machine destruction. However, it shows that the side objective seems to restart if players go back to the hill. It was explained that the objective's marker reappears once again.
Meanwhile, to gain an additional 500 XP, players simply need to run back to the base before hearing the explosion instead of redoing the side objective. This method can repeatedly be done until players reached their desired XP. The Reddit user used this exploit to level up three or four times before getting bored.
The benefits of this new XP glitch is massive the fact that Mass Effect: Andromeda is a Western RPG title. Ryder needs XP to unlock and upgrade his abilities. The skills of the player's squad can also be upgraded. However, there are no customization options dedicated to them. As a result, they are just going to be more powerful.
As of now, no words are coming from the developers of the game. Only time will tell if they will fix this exploit via a game update. The game already received various criticisms about its animation that have plagued the game.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, the game is reported to not have a Season Pass, but a DLC is expected to arrive soon.
