NFL Trade Rumors: Carolina Panthers Interested In 49ers’ Second Overall Pick? New Orleans Saints Eyeing Richard Sherman?

Dave Gettleman has always been figuring in NFL trade rumors. His team, the Carolina Panthers, has been trading up in the draft to improve the quality of its roster. This time it is rumored that the Panthers are interested in the second pick of the San Francisco 49ers. They already acquired the 64th overall pick by trading their 72nd overall pick and Kony Ealy to the New England Patriots.

The Panthers Would Likely Pick Solomon Thomas

The latest NFL trade rumors reveal that the Panthers are still planning to move up by getting Myles Garrett of Texas A&M. However, it is widely accepted that the Cleveland Browns would have the first pick. If that scenario pushes through, the Panther's second option is to get Leonard Fournette of Louisiana State University or Solomon Thomas of Stanford. However, Drew Boylhart of The Huddle Report says that they are looking to improve their defense; therefore, the Panthers would likely pick Thomas.

Richard Sherman Could Be Suiting Up For The New Orleans Saints

In another development, Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks has been in the center of numerous NFL trade rumors. Pete Carroll, head coach, said that Sherman is valuable to the team. And yet he did not guarantee that the cornerback will not be placed on the trading table. Apparently, there are a number of teams that are very interested in acquiring Sherman.

NFL trade rumors say that one of the most interested teams is the New Orleans Saints. This team has been involved in a number of trades. Unfortunately what they got are mainly unproven talents. Getting Richard Sherman will be beneficial to this team since he's an experienced NFL veteran and has won a Super-Bowl.

Sherman initially ignored these NFL trade rumors. However, his mind might have changed with the recent disclosures made by Carroll. The Seahawks head coach said that other teams have been calling and asking about the availability of the cornerback. Perhaps this could pave the way for the eventual trade of Richard Sherman to the Saints, or some other team.
