The latest episode of “Dragon Ball Super” has delved on Goku and Gohan scouting for the remaining warriors that will join them in the up and coming Tournament of Power. It has been revealed that though strength is crucial in the said tournament, there is more that any warrior can offer. Here are the real reasons why Goku decided to scout Krillin, Android 17, and Android 18.
Krillin Has Both Brains And Brawl
In the latest episode of “Dragon Ball Super”, the Universe Survival Arc goes on with Gohan and Goku searching for the rest of the fighters that will represent Universe 7 in the approaching Tournament of Power. Their next stop was the married couple, Krillin, and Android 18’s home, in which the couple eventually agrees to join given the condition that Goku has fabricated. However, Gohan was clearly unsatisfied that Krillin could handle the said tournament so they fought wherein Krillin surprisingly defeats Gohan.
Goku and Android 18 have been well aware that Krillin is not the best when it comes to strength and despite all the training Krillin did, he will not match up to the Saiyan’s powers. However, the real reason Krillin was chosen because he knows his weakness and puts this in a strategy, giving their fight with Gohan a perfect example where he used a new blinding technique, catching Gohan off guard and kicking him out of bounds. The Tournament of Power is a battle royal match that will force warriors to fight more than just one opponent, so somebody who can use his head to give the team an advantage is most helpful in surviving the said tournament.
Will Android 17 And Android 18 Survive The Tournament Of Power?
In the last previous episode of “Dragon Ball Super”, it was revealed that the Tournament of Power also has restrictions to who can join. When the members of Team Universe 7 were discussing prospects, the gods hesitated when they suggested Android 17 and Android 18 because they were cyborgs. However, Goku was able to convince them that the two Androids were actually originally human beings who were modified to be superhuman. Aside from their immense fixed strength, they were allowed to join because they were initially human and they can still train and level up in terms of strength.
It seems like the Tournament of Power only allows those who can fight based on a strength that they can acquire naturally but this is also the case with Android 17 and Android 18 because they can still get strong despite being modified. Android 18 was surprisingly able to deflect Goku’s Saiyan attack effortlessly in “Dragon Ball Super” Episode 84, displaying the unlimited power the Androids have. However, aside from their strength, their bond as a family will also have a huge impact in the fight.
