Subaru introduced the new Impreza sedan and hatchback last year, and since the Crosstrek which is known as the XV in Europe is just an Impreza hatchback with a lift kit. According to a source, Subaru's offering of a manual will also enable drivers to make the most of the 152 horsepower the direct-injected 2.0-liter engine makes. But, if consumers still desire an automatic choice, the European CVT is available as an option. More so, it's also standard on the Limited model. The CVT can be also manually shifted with seven set ratios to choose from. Only the CVT is available with Subaru's "X-Mode," which optimizes pedal inputs and the all-wheel drive system for more improved traction on slippery surfaces.

The tire pressure monitor will display the pressure of each individual wheel which helps when figuring out which tire is low. The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will take wraps officially at the New York International Auto Show next week.
